Fr John’s Requiem Mass

It is with great sadness that we report the death of our dear Fr. John who died on Wednesday 12th February.

Do please remember him in your prayers and his sister Joan. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he Rest in Peace. Amen.

It has been announced that Fr John will be received into St Theresa’s after the evening Mass on Ash Wednesday (26th February) at 20:30 hrs and his Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday 27th February.

New Mass times for 2020

New Mass times have been announced for next year 2020. For details on all Mass times please go to: Mass times

St Theresa will be introducing The Latin Mass on a Tuesday evening. This Mass sometimes called the Extraordinary Form Mass was the Mass used by the Church for nearly 1500 years before the changes brought about in 1969 bringing into use the Novus Ordo. Mass and readings are in Latin, there will be booklets to follow it and a separate sheet with the readings in Latin and English.

We as a parish will be in the unique position of celebrating three forms of the Roman Rite: The Extraordinary Form, the Novus Ordo, and Divine Worship: The Missal (the Ordinariate Rite). Everyone is welcome.

Remembrance day

Remembrance Sunday

10 Nov 2019. We remembered those who served in World War I and World War II. A day to remember those who gave up everything for their country.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.”

“For the Fallen” by Laurence Binyon

The statue of Jesus with arms open was found in the mud where the battle of the Somme happened. It was given to Fr John as a gift and he has kindly donated it to the parish.
