Welcome to St Theresa’s
Welcome to St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic Church in the village of Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex in the Diocese of Brentwood. The church was built in 2002 in the distinctive style of an Essex barn and can be seen from the Cambridge Road on entering or leaving the village.
St. Theresa’s church is a small but welcoming parish. If you are new to the area or are thinking of joining our parish, please contact us.
Stewards of the Gospel
You should all now have received a copy of the Steward of the Gospel feedback form from our representative is Keith McDowall. This is just a short form but the information you give is extremely important to the future of our parish and diocese. Please take the time to complete the form and return it as soon as possible. All feedback will be forwarded to the diocese. We would like all forms to be returned by 26th February if possible. A copy of the form is available here to print off. Many thanks for your time.
Fair-trade Coffee Morning
Don’t forget our Fair-trade event this Sunday 12th February after 10.00am Mass. Fair-trade sponsors and organises Fair-trade Cooperatives in developing countries. A fair wage for a long day’s work gives us coffee, tea, chocolate, fruit and even gold which we can consume with a clear conscience.

We are very pleased to announce that Children’s Liturgy will be starting again on 5th March. It will be held once a month on the first of the month and will be open to primary school aged children up until they receive their First Holy Communion.
Children’s Liturgy will be held in St. Theresa’s room to the right of the altar. Whilst sessions are in place, we ask all parents to remain in the main part of the church and also respectfully ask that parents of younger children do not use this room. Any child who becomes restless should be taken into the foyer whilst sessions are taking place. Many thanks for your cooperation.
